  • What a wonderful morning I have spent with the LORD!

    Christen music going, dancing, praising His holy name with hands held high, and singing my heart out [with a voice only the Lord could love]....  What a blessing to part of His kingdom!  All while doing what needs to be done for my family. What a difference the right music can make.

    Making peanut butter fudge for the ones I love and for some I barely know but want to show some love to, cleaning, picking up [a never ending job] , dishes, and so on was no longer chores but things that I was doing for God.

    What a beautiful day!

    Making the best out of the things I have to work with and not gripping about the things I don't have is definitely the way to go. Praise God if you have it and praise God if you don't. AMEN

    Lord, I want to thank you for the things you have given us and when we have nothing to give, then  let us remember that there is always love to share. Praise your Holy name, Amen...

  • While looking through a country catalog I got in the mail I noticed a lot of religious signs and I thought I would share a few with you. I hope they inspire you as much as they did me.

    Take time to be thankful

    God doesn't give us what we can handle;  God helps us to handle what we are given.

    { I like it better this way}

    There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

    Having someone to love is family, having somewhere to go is home, having both is a blessing

    {Amen to that}

    Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you...

    { that will make ya think}

    God doesn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way

    {my personal favorite]

    Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, Its about learning to dance in the rain...

    [Lets dance with God}

    It doesn't matter where you go in life, It's who you have beside you

    I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I have nowhere else to go.

    [Abraham Lincoln]

    [and finally]

    Live in such a way that if anyone should speek badly of you, no one would believe it...

    Have A Blessed Week and

    Thank God For Something Wonderful In Your Life

  • We have had a lot of rain this summer here in upstate New York and if your not careful in can get you down, ya know, just give you the blues.

    I want to tell you my theory on rain.

    When we get baptized, it's to cleanse our sins, there washed away and we leave them behind. When God sends down the rain do you suppose that He's washing the earth too. I like to think that He is. There is so much evil in this world and maybe some of it needs to be washed away so that we can stand to live in it.

    The bible is our living water but what about the things that can't read the bible, don't they deserve living water too. Not only does rain provide a drink for trees and creatures but it also gives them a place to wash, escape from the heat, shelter, if you will.

    Sheltering is a big part of what God is all about, Amen.

    So maybe the next time it rains for two or three days in a row or your out in a heavy down pour, you wont be thinking about your hair, you'll be thanking God for the living water.

    Just Be Blessed!

  •      You know how sometimes you hear things and they just stick with you, in your spirit?        Well, I had a real God moment today. We were reading in 2nd Peter today at church, I not sure why but this is all I remember about the entire service.

        Chapter 2:9, Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.

         I mean, wow, Just think about that small statement, we can be delivered from all the evil in this world, if we're worthy enough.   Puff, gone, and up you go to live in heaven for ever.       Will God point his finger at you and say "come my child", pick you because you have obeyed?  Have you done enough for the kingdom of God to be at His mercy? What if the rapture happens tomorrow, do you know for sure that you'll go to heaven or will you be one of those that have to wait for judgment?

        Lets think about the rapture for a minute. Maybe we'll see Jesus come down out of the clouds on a soft breeze for all to see. Will we fall on our knees and ask for forgiveness then or will we just wait to see what happens next. It's not like you can jump up and down yelling, "pick me, pick me Lord, I believe in you", it might already be too late, have you waited too long?  Where's your heart, your mind, and your spirit been? Think back a bit, have you told God that you sorry for the harsh words you spoke, for the thought you had, the anger you felt? Do we do that enough to be worthy or are you just trying to get through the day intact and simply don't have time to pray, read the bible or to tell others about the love of Jesus.

      I for one, don't want to be here for the wrath of God. I want Him to point at me and say, "you have been a faithful servant, come, live with me for eternity in my kingdom".  And yes, I also need to do more reading, praying and the spreading of His love. It really isn't that hard, there's so many ways to glorify God. After all, He's done so much for us, Amen!

       Talk with Him, hand over your worries, share His word. Don't let it be to late. Praise His Holy name and give Him the credit for the wonders in your life no matter how big or small. Shame on us all for wanting praise for the things God has done. Get out of you flesh and start walking in the spirit. See things through Jesus' eyes, are they really as big of a deal as we make them out to be and will they really matter tomorrow? And for goodness sakes, stop worrying about tomorrow troubles, todays are enough, don't ya think!

      "Lord, I want to lift up all who read this, Father may your word and yours alone be true in the hearts of many, may they feel your love and share it with others. Lord, I pray that they see your light shinning down and follow it where ever it might lead them Lord, for yours is the true path to happiness. I want to thank you Lord God for all the signs and wonders we receive and may your Holy name be praised and glorified, in your mighty name I pray, Amen"

     Be blessed in Jesus this week,  Melissa

  • UNMARTED FAVOR

    Who else but God could show us unconditional love, grace, and mercy.

    In so many ways our Lord shows us how we should treat one another, how to love and how to be kind.

    In Psalm 78, the children of Ephraim didn’t keep the covenant of God and refused to walk in His law. They had forgotten about the marvelous things God did in sight of their fathers in the land of Egypt and in the fields of Zoan.    They tested God in their hearts even after He had dividing the sea so they could pass, leading them with clouds by day and at night by fire, and bringing streams out of rock so water flowed like rivers.

    The Lord was furious when they started asking for food of their fancy, like bread and meat to eat in the wilderness but still He held His wrath, turning away from anger by remembering that they were but flesh.

    When we get angry, we tend to hold a big fat grudge, yup, we can stay angry for hours and then we go home and take it out on the ones we love, but God on the other hand, He delights in mercy, He doesn’t retain anger, it’s not on His agenda to stay mad and hold something over our head, He wants to forgive and forget. Mercy is a form of love, especially directed toward the needy or unworthy.

    The lord will not always strive with us but, oh man, He is merciful and glorious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. Shouldn’t we , as Gods children, be doing the same.

     It’s a constant battle to remind ourselves that when we condemn others that we are condemning ourselves, we will be judged by the way we judge.

    We all go through trials, but those trials are what give us strength and endurance, the endurance allows us to prevail and win the next battle and so on. God doesn’t put us through stuff to destroy us but He does want us to learn how to forgive, how to love, and how to have grace and mercy. After all, isn’t that what He does for us each and every day by giving us unmerited favor. Gods mercy endure forever.

    Where would we be without Gods grace that restores, His mercy that renews?

    We should seek first the kingdom of God and give glory to His holy name!

    From the beginning God chouse you for salvation through sanctification by the spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.   Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.  Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

    2 Thessalonians. 2:13-17  Amen
